Daily Fog: One and Only

Rain forced the postponement of all but one game last night. Wareham and Falmouth managed to get theirs in and the Gatemen made the most of it, winning 7-5 to stay ahead of Falmouth for third place in the West.

The Gatemen took a 7-2 lead into the eighth inning before Falmouth came roaring back to make it 7-5. But Wareham closer Konner Wade (Arizona) came on and shut the Commodores down, going the final 1.2 innings without allowing a hit. L.J. Mazzilli (UConn), Robert Refsnyder (Arizona) and William Carmona (Stony Brook) led Wareham’s offense with two hits each.

Luke Farrell (Northwestern) picked up the win for the Gatemen. Andrew Aizenstadt (Babson) took the loss, his first of the year.
